Welcome to Lava Island

Lava Island is an indoor play oasis where kids fly across trampolines, vanish into towering jungle gyms, dive into foam pits, and race down slides while families share pizza and celebrate birthdays in the party rooms. It is loud, bright, and full of energy.

Every trampoline, deck, slide, and play piece is made by hand. Active Play Solutions (APS) is the team that makes them.

The Job

You will run the APS warehouse in Denver. That is a real four-part job: receiving and inventory, the paperwork that keeps it all in sync (work orders, packing slips, reconciliation), the building itself (vendors, supplies, cleaning), and load-out, getting finished components staged, loaded, and shipped to park sites.

It is also a hybrid role right now. Until we hit the volume to justify a dedicated cutting operator, you will run the steel cutting machine and the CNC / beam saw alongside the warehouse work. When we get there, that piece moves off your plate and the warehouse grows.

This is a solo role. You are the warehouse, the receiver, the shipper, the paperwork, and for now the cutting operator. You report to the Production Manager.

Why APS

  • Real scope. This is not a stockroom job. It is running a warehouse, end to end, with real responsibility.
  • Variety. Physical work, paperwork, vendor calls, cutting machines, load-out. No two days look the same.
  • Steady company. APS is growing. The warehouse role grows with it.
  • Predictable schedule. Day shift in our Denver warehouse. No travel.
  • Benefits. Per company benefits program.

What You Will Do

Run the warehouse

  • Receive deliveries, verify them against POs and packing slips, and log them in.
  • Manage stock and inventory across the warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely.
  • Distribute materials to the production crew as needed.

Own the paperwork

  • Manage work orders, packing slips, and order reconciliation.
  • Work with Procurement: they purchase and source, you receive, reconcile, and flag discrepancies.

Keep the building running

  • Manage warehouse vendors (trash, utilities, building services, cleaning).
  • Stock supplies. Keep the space clean and safe.

Get loads out

  • Coordinate with the Production Manager to move completed parts to the staging bays.
  • Pack, load, and ship trucks to park sites.

Run the cutting machines (for now)

  • Steel cutting machine and CNC / beam saw.
  • Read cut files, load stock, run the program, monitor the cut.
  • Keep the machines clean and maintained.

What You Need

  • Warehouse operations experience. Typically three or more years in receiving, inventory, distribution, and shipping in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse.
  • Forklift and aerial lift certified, or able to get certified within 30 days.
  • Hands-on experience with order reconciliation. You can match a packing slip to a PO and catch when something is off.
  • Comfortable with industrial cutting equipment, or willing to learn. The cutting machines are part of the job today.
  • Comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and inventory systems. APS uses Microsoft 365.
  • Detail-oriented and organized. The paperwork side matters as much as the physical side.
  • Independent. You will be running the warehouse on your own most days.

CNC, beam saw, plasma, or steel cutting experience is a plus. So is ERP or inventory system experience. So is bilingual (English / Spanish).
