Job Summary:

The Implant Rebuild Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the disassembly, rebuild, and minor repairs of mechanical sub‑assemblies utilized in the ion implanter equipment. This includes components used in Axcelis High Current, High Angle, High Energy, and HCP systems, as well as Varian ULE/MCP implanters.

This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving abilities. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and manage tasks with precision and consistency.

Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and safely handle hazardous materials while following all required PPE and safety protocols.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Disassemble, clean, rebuild, and inspect implant sub‑assemblies.
  • Identify wear or mechanical issues and perform minor repairs.
  • Use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches.
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Maintain documentation and meet quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Work safely in a controlled environment.

Additional expectations:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly practices.
  • Experience with hand tools and precision measurement devices.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and technical instructions.
  • High attention to detail and quality.

Job Qualifications:

  • Prefer 3-6 years or more of related wafer fab experience.
  • Prior experience as an MST or Equipment Technician within a high‑volume manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Associate’s degree in electronics is preferred but not required.
