Floor Care Tech

Summary of Position

This position will be responsible for stripping, waxing, and refinishing hard floors and carpet cleaning. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies and stock cart with cleaning supplies from storage room.
• Clean restroom toilets, sinks, floors, urinals, mirrors, and fixtures, using toilet brush, sponge, disinfectant, and cleaning solutions.
• Clean floors daily and vacuum as needed, shampoo, strip, wax, clean doors, walls, and windows and all horizontal surfaces, and buff, and empty trash by removal to designated areas, as specified in contract.
• Strip, wax, and refinish hard floors and carpet cleaning.
• Clean 2,500 square feet within 1 hour.
• Operate a variety of buffing machines.
• Mix chemical solutions in a safe and effective manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience stripping, waxing, and refinishing hard floors and carpet cleaning.
• Experience cleaning carpet and tile. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
