The Catering Manager will oversee all catering operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences from initial inquiry through event execution. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, coordinating logistics, and maintaining Black Family Hospitality’s standards of hospitality, food quality, and service excellence across all catered events.

The Catering Manager will work closely with restaurant leadership, culinary teams, and event partners to ensure seamless execution of on-site and off-site events. This individual will also support business growth by identifying new catering opportunities, maintaining strong community relationships, and delivering memorable experiences that reflect the BFH brand.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Trains and supports catering and event staff.
  • Oversees staffing assignments and scheduling for catering events.
  • Ensures team members adhere to service standards and operational expectations.
  • Conducts timely coaching and performance discussions.
  • Supports disciplinary actions and employee accountability in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of catering operations, including booking, planning, coordination, and execution of events.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, vendors, and community partners.
  • Ensures exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction throughout the catering experience.
  • Coordinates event logistics, staffing, rentals, transportation, and timelines.
  • Collaborates with culinary and operations teams to ensure accurate menu execution and food quality standards.
  • Monitors catering inventory, supplies, and event-related equipment.
  • Handles guest concerns and resolves issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensures compliance with all health, safety, food handling, and alcoholic beverage regulations.
  • Assists in developing strategies to grow catering revenue and expand market presence.
  • Maintains accurate event records, contracts, invoices, and reporting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
