Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager JOB SUMMARY Provide guests with an elevated cocktail and lounge experience through attentive, friendly, and efficient beverage service. The Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality while maintaining knowledge of beverage offerings, promoting sales, and ensuring compliance with all safety and alcohol service standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS • Operational Responsibilities Deliver beverages and food promptly and accurately to guests Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, recipes, pricing, glassware, and garnishes Process orders accurately using POS systems Promote and upsell food and beverage offerings Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and lounge areas • Guest Services Provide warm, engaging, and professional guest service at all times Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests Create an upscale and welcoming guest experience • Team Support and Training Work collaboratively with bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and management Participate in required meetings and ongoing training sessions • Communication and Reporting Communicate effectively with managers regarding guest feedback and operational concerns Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately • Safety & Compliance Follow all TABC laws and alcohol service guidelines Verify identification for guests when required Follow hotel safety standards and sanitation procedures QualificationsESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills Excellent guest service and hospitality mindset Effective multitasking and time management skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment TABC Certification required Food Handler Certification required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing/Walking: Constantly throughout shift on various surfaces Lifting/Carrying: Frequently carry trays, beverages, and supplies up to 40 lbs. Bending/Crouching: Occasionally required for stocking, cleaning, and service tasks WORKING ENVIRONMENT Interior: Lounge, bar, restaurant, banquet, and hotel service areas Exterior: May occasionally work outdoor events or patio areas BASICS Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas Display courteous and professional behavior with guests and team members Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred 1+ years of serving, lounge, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
