Who you are:

As a Community Development Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the CRA Officer with implementing and administering Frost’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) program. You will work closely with local agencies and community organizations to ensure responsiveness to community credit needs. In this role you will provides assistance to community groups, participate in local community development/redevelopment projects and programs, and engages in a wide range of service activities. You will also serve on organization boards, provides educational seminars, and sponsor community events and activities. Most importantly, this role is about building long lasting relationships with every interaction and doing it with integrity, caring and excellence in mind.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain favorable public relations in designated communities by representing Frost on community boards and at community business and education functions
  • Act as a liaison with local agencies, non-profit development groups, and other participants in housing and community development programs, services, and projects
  • As determined/directed by the CRA Officer, coordinate and/or conduct seminars and financial education sessions for home improvement, small businesses, adults, youth, seniors, and other related CRA target issues or audiences
  • Coordinate the CRA department’s annual Frost Financial Youth Academy in the applicable school(s) within the market as directed by the CRA Officer
  • Work with Frost personnel to increase visibility in target CRA areas in order to develop new business, maintain current relationships, and enhance Frost’s image
  • Coordinate efforts with CRA Officer on other CRA related issues such as special loan programs, commitment letters, grants, community development loans, services, CRA partnerships, and other applications
  • Document community development investments, services, and loans on a quarterly basis. Provide documentation as requested by CRA Officer
  • Maintain a positive relationship with regional and local leadership teams, Community Leaders, Relationship Managers, Associate Relationship Managers, Lending Assistants, Frost Community Representatives, Frost at Work staff, and other lending personnel on CRA related issues
  • Keep a current knowledge of CRA laws, regulations, and guidance    
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Public speaking experience
