As an Event Coordinatior Intern, you’ll support the planning, operations, and execution of NI’s virtual and in‑person events. You’ll work alongside experienced event professionals to help bring conferences, tradeshows, and customer programs to life. This internship offers hands‑on experience in event logistics, project coordination, and cross‑functional collaboration within a global organization. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who is curious, organized, and eager to learn how impactful events are built from concept to completion.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: 

  • Assist with planning and coordinating virtual, in‑person, and hybrid events, learning the fundamentals of successful event execution.
  • Support event setup on platforms such as ON24, including managing event calendars, uploading content, preparing session materials, and helping with technical checks.
  • Help organize event resources, session information, and engagement tools to enhance the attendee experience.
  • Contribute creative ideas to improve event flow, engagement, and overall experience.
  • Support logistics for NI‑hosted and in‑person events, such as venue research, signage coordination, registration support, and onsite operations.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and media teams to ensure event materials are on‑brand and aligned across channels.
  • Assist with project timelines, documentation, and coordination across teams.
  • Help gather and organize event performance data to support post‑event reporting and insights.
  • Participate in meetings with global teams and support coordination across time zones.
  • Provide general support to the events team across multiple projects.

 FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, business, event management, or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and event technologies.

  • Comfort working with virtual teams and collaborating across functions.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to support occasional travel or onsite event work if needed.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: 

  • Previous experience supporting events, student organizations, or campus activities.

  • Exposure to event platforms (e.g., ON24, Teams Live Events and social platforms) not required but a plus.

  • Experience with project management tools or collaborative platforms (e.g., SharePoint).

  • Interest in marketing, experiential programs, or customer engagement.

  • Creative problem‑solving skills and a passion for delivering great experiences.
