The Role
If you're early in a project management career and want work that actually teaches you something, this is it. Our Assistant Project Managers run alongside seasoned PMs and field leadership starting week one - supporting live commercial jobs, learning how coordination really works, and picking up the judgment that separates good construction managers from paper-pushers. We fill our senior roles from the inside, so the people who show up and produce move up.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Keeping Everyone Connected

  • Serve as a coordination hub between PMs, field crews, owners, and trade partners
  • Keep information moving cleanly so nobody's working off old details
  • Put together progress updates, status reports, and job documentation

Schedule and Resources

  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation on active commercial jobs
  • Monitor milestones and deliverables so schedules and budgets hold
  • Flag inefficiencies and bring forward ideas that tighten up how the team operates

Records and Standards

  • Partner with field teams to hold workmanship standards and meet owner expectations
  • Maintain job records - contracts, submittals, change documentation
  • Confirm work matches project specifications and internal quality benchmarks

When Problems Come Up

  • Get involved early and help develop practical fixes before small issues get expensive
  • Coordinate between internal groups and outside partners to keep production moving

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field - or equivalent time in the trade
  • Exposure to commercial construction or project coordination; specialty trade experience is a plus
  • Clear communicator, verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with construction management platforms is helpful but not required

What We Offer

  • Direct mentorship and hands-on training from experienced PMs
  • Real advancement - we develop our people and promote internally
  • A team environment where contribution gets recognized
  • Competitive pay and a full benefits package
