Position Summary: The Family Supportive Housing (FSH) Program Coordinator provides bilingual housing navigation, outreach, and program coordination services in support of Foundation Communities' Family Supportive Housing programs. This position serves as a key point of contact for individuals and families seeking housing opportunities and supportive services, helping ensure equitable access to housing resources and program information.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing Family Supportive Housing waitlists, conducting community outreach, coordinating housing inquiries, maintaining applicant records, and supporting placement efforts for eligible families. This role works closely with Property Management, Program Staff, Compliance, and community partners to promote housing stability and reduce barriers to housing access. The Program Coordinator also assists with volunteer and intern coordination and helps connect applicants to community resources when Foundation Communities housing is not immediately available. This position reports directly to the Intake Program Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain Family Supportive Housing waitlists for designated family properties and regularly communicate with prospective applicants regarding program eligibility, application status, and housing opportunities.
  • Coordinate and track outreach events, housing fairs, community presentations, and partnership activities that support Family Supportive Housing programs, with oversight and support from the Intake Program Manager.
  • Receive and coordinate housing inquiries through phone calls, email, walk-ins, and community referrals, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Track all applicant interactions, including calls, emails, appointments, and referrals, while maintaining accurate and complete documentation. 
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to waitlist activity, outreach efforts, housing inquiries, referrals, and placement outcomes.
  • Provide referrals, resource navigation, and housing information to households seeking services, including those who may not qualify for Foundation Communities housing programs.
  • Maintain and monitor homeless preference documentation and eligibility requirements for designated Family Supportive Housing properties. 
  • Assess applicant barriers to housing and connect eligible households to available financial assistance resources, including HSO-funded assistance, to support housing placement and homelessness prevention efforts. 
  • Maintain knowledge of Foundation Communities' qualifying criteria, tenant selection criteria, waitlist procedures, housing designations, and supportive housing programs to ensure accurate information is provided to applicants and community partners. 
  • Collaborate with Program Staff and Property Management to facilitate successful housing placements by coordinating communication with assigned Case Managers and ensuring entrance links are distributed.
  • Coordinate, train, and support interns and volunteers assisting with Family Supportive Housing outreach, waitlist management, and intake-related activities.

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of non-profit housing and social service organizations
  • Experience working with homeless and/or economically disadvantaged families and adults


Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time position working a 40-hour work week, $23.50- 26.14

Preferred Skills:

  • Fluent in Spanish or other language

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Multifamily housing community with significant challenges related to housing instability and socioeconomic stressors. Must be able to work with diverse population, challenging work environment with at risk youth and families.
