With each opportunity, we take a collaborative approach to address challenges and provide unique solutions.   Position Summary: We are seeking a seasoned, strategic Chief Actuary to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team during an aggressive growth and expansion phase. This role is critical to scaling a complex insurance and TPA organization that sells business, manages claims and administrative operations for carrier partners, launches new products, executes M&A transactions, and manages diversified investments and real estate holdings.   The ideal candidate is a proven Actuarial leader with deep experience in highly regulated insurance and financial services environments, capable of partnering closely with a CEO and Owner who are growth-driven, entrepreneurial, and focused on increasing enterprise value. The successful candidate will bring deep technical credibility, executive judgment, and forward-thinking leadership to support enterprise-level decision-making, capital optimization, and scalable growth.   Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Executive Leadership As a core member of the senior executive leadership team, partner closely with the CEO, Owner, and Board of Directors to evaluate strategic opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance strategies, new product structures, and expansion of TPA offerings Maintain a best-in-class actuarial department to support the company’s strategic objectives, providing expert actuarial leadership and developing top talent to support aggressive growth, and revenue initiatives Translate complex actuarial and financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for executive and board-level decision-making. Actuarial Oversight & Governance Maintain full responsibility for actuarial governance across life insurance blocks, LTC products, and TPA-related actuarial services Ensure continuity and stability by building upon existing actuarial frameworks, assumptions, models, and processes, while modernizing and enhancing them as needed Oversee reserve adequacy, pricing assumptions, experience studies, and risk management practices Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, statutory, and professional standards Growth & Innovation Lead actuarial due diligence and financial evaluation for acquisitions, reinsurance arrangements, and strategic partnerships Support expansion initiatives by developing scalable actuarial models, processes, and talent structures capable of supporting increased volume and complexity Provide actuarial leadership for new product concepts, in-force management strategies, and TPA client solutions Identify opportunities to enhance profitability, capital efficiency, and long-term value through advanced analytics, assumption refinement, and experience management Financial & Risk Leadership Collaborate closely with Finance, Investments, Risk, and Operations to ensure alignment between actuarial assumptions, financial reporting, and enterprise risk management Support capital planning, surplus management, and stress testing activities Provide thought leadership on interest rate risk, longevity/morbidity risk, mortality risk, and emerging trends impacting life and LTC portfolios Team Leadership & Talent Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing actuarial organization, fostering a culture of accountability, rigor, and innovation Ensure the actuarial function is appropriately structured and staffed to support current operations and future growth Act as a visible, credible leader across the organization, promoting cross-functional collaboration and executive-level influence   Executive Leadership Characteristics: Enterprise Ownership & Execution Takes full accountability for enterprise financial outcomes and consistently delivers results in complex, regulated environments. Value-Driven Stewardship Applies a disciplined, stakeholder-focused approach to actuarial and strategic leadership, ensuring decisions support operational excellence, customer trust, regulatory integrity, and sustainable growth. QualificationsQualifications: Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) required. Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) preferred. 15+ years of progressive actuarial experience, including senior leadership roles within life insurance, LTC, or related insurance sectors. Prior experience as Chief Actuary preferred. Demonstrated experience working with in-force blocks, block acquisitions, reinsurance, and/or TPA-related actuarial services. Proven track record of executive-level leadership in a growth-oriented or transformational environment. Strong experience presenting to and advising Boards of Directors, owners, and senior executives. Deep understanding of regulatory, statutory, and financial reporting requirements applicable to life and LTC insurance.   Why Join Us?
