Your work will directly strengthen grid reliability, optimize the performance and longevity of our transmission assets, and deliver a tangible, positive impact on the lives of the Texans we serve.


How You’ll Contribute

  • Perform clearance analysis of encroachments on the transmission system using computer-aided design (CAD) tools
  • Perform forensic analysis of failed/damaged transmission line assets including foundations, poles, lattice structures, suspension hardware, and conductor
  • Propose and justify solutions for failed/damaged assets which optimize grid reliability and public safety
  • Explore new and innovative inspection tools for assessing asset condition

How You’re Qualified

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
  • Driver's license

How You’ll Stand Out

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in forensic analysis of steel, wood, and concrete structures
  • Experience in the design or maintenance of transmission line equipment
  • Experience with 3D modeling programs
  • Experience with relevant engineering codes
  • Experience with relevant structural analysis programs
