Your Opportunity

As Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) with Stantec's team in Texas, you will be part of a collaborative group shaping residential and commercial land development projects. This role offers the opportunity to build strong technical skills while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your growth. You will work with senior engineers and designers to support infrastructure design, construction observation, contract administration, land and earthworks analysis, stormwater management, and studies for feasibility, servicing, drainage, and property development potential. Furthermore, you will evaluate, select, specify, and design systems or products, perform calculations, and assist with field activities as required.

This position can be located in either are Austin, San Antonio or Houston offices.

Your Key Responsibilities

Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for relevant commercial and residential development and public infrastructure projects
Performs civil design using knowledge of relevant software programs
Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/ designer
Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/ designer
Performs basic calculations to analyze and design civil system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software
Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity
Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions
Assists in basic interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices
Constructs models to identify project specifications and meet related needs by performing routing aspects of engineering assignments
Performs other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
