Job Summary
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary facilities by performing routine cleaning. This position supports the overall appearance and functionality of assigned buildings by ensuring that all custodial duties are completed in accordance with established standards and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing assigned areas.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and other common areas.
Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste in designated areas.
Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
Support special cleaning projects or deep cleaning activities as assigned.
Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned to support facility operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous custodial or janitorial experience.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Ability to safely operate basic custodial equipment.
Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
Valid driver’s license required. The employee may be required to operate company vehicles or travel between locations as needed to support operational needs.
Attendance is a requirement to be successful in this position.
Work Schedule
The typical schedule for this position is 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend and holiday work may be required on a rotational basis. Employees may also be required to rotate shifts as needed during booth cleaning operations.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in various environmental conditions.
