Texas Sports Academy is seeking a visionary Director of Short-Form Sports Media to lead our efforts in creating engaging and impactful sports content that resonates with audiences across various platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative strategies that leverage short-form media to enhance our brand presence in the sports industry. You will oversee the production of high-quality video content, including highlights, interviews, and educational pieces, that highlight the achievements of our athletes and the philosophy of our training methods. Your leadership will guide a creative team as you collaborate with marketing, operations, and athlete relations to amplify our message and reach new audiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media production, a passion for sports, and a proven track record of driving content initiatives from conception to execution.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy focused on short-form sports media.
  • Oversee production processes, including scripting, filming, editing, and post-production for various media formats.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to identify key storytelling opportunities present in our training programs and athlete journeys.
  • Monitor industry trends and audience preferences to ensure our content remains relevant and competitive.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to maximize the impact of content initiatives.
  • Analyze performance metrics and feedback to continuously improve content quality and audience engagement.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and collaboration within the media team, encouraging continuous learning and innovation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in media production, particularly in short-form content creation, with a strong portfolio of past work.
  • Deep understanding of current media trends, audience analytics, and platforms for content distribution.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects effectively.
  • Exceptional creative vision paired with strong organizational and communication skills.
