We’re looking for an Account Manager to serve as the primary service contact for a book of clients. You’ll manage day-to-day client needs, lead renewals and implementation work, coordinate with carriers and internal teams, and help clients make clear decisions about their benefit plans.

ExperINS works primarily with HR departments and company leadership. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with professionals and understand the importance of business etiquette and clear communication.

This role is built for someone who can manage details without losing sight of the bigger picture. You’ll have real ownership of client work, support strategic recommendations, and help ensure every client receives consistent, thoughtful service.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the daily work that keeps client relationships strong and benefit plans running smoothly.

  • Manage a book of fully insured and self-funded clients across the full client lifecycle
  • Lead renewals, carrier marketing, implementation, plan changes, and open enrollment
  • Finalize and approve client facing materials: including meeting agendas, timelines, presentations, and recommendations prepared by service team. 
  • Coordinate carrier quotes, compare plan options, and help clients understand cost and coverage tradeoffs
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships 
  • Advise clients on benefits compliance, including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, and Form 5500 requirements
  • Guide and quality-check the work of Account Coordinators or Data Analysts supporting the account
  • Develops expertise to confidently lead client discussions on unique strategic solutions.
  • Improve client service by documenting processes, identifying gaps, and helping the team work more consistently by taking ownership and effectively delegating tasks.

What We’re Looking For

We need someone who understands the benefits business and can manage clients, deadlines, and details with confidence.

  • At least 2 years of employee benefits account management 
  • Experience supporting fully insured and self-funded employer groups
  • Strong knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and related benefit programs
  • Experience managing renewals, open enrollment, implementation, carrier communication, and ongoing service
  • The ability to explain complex benefit and compliance topics in clear, simple language
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to confidently lead client meetings and deliver clear, effective presentations.
  • The ability to lead work across clients, carriers, Account Coordinators, and internal teams
  • An active Life and Health insurance license

Experience as an account manager in employee benefits is required.

A college degree is preferred, but relevant experience, certifications, and demonstrated ability may be substituted.
