Test Engineer – Secure Connected Edge (SCE)

Business Unit Description

NXP’s Secure Connected Edge (SCE) business unit offers high-performance multicore solutions that transport, analyze and secure data from the edge of the network to the cloud.

Job Summary:

  • Understand IP documentation for test related requirements.
  • Develop test and characterization software for ATE (Automated Test Equipment).
  • Develop test cases for complex mixed-signal IP.
  • Define test hardware requirements, and review hardware designs.
  • Debug test software, test hardware, and Silicon bugs.
  • Support new products from bring-up through qualification and productization.
  • Assure IP outgoing quality, reliability and performance.
  • Implement strategies to reduce test time (cost savings).
  • Work collaboratively to solve problems and identify test coverage gaps between global design, verification, design-for-test (DFT), validation and product engineering teams.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering. 
  • Understanding of Microcontroller and Applications processor architectures.
  • Proficiency in both reading and writing code.
  • Knowledge of C/C++, VBA, Java, Python, Ruby along with analog circuit and transmission line theory are beneficial.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work well with cross functional teams.
  • Self-motivated individual.
