Earth Systems Energy Solutions is seeking an Environmental Construction Manager I to support environmental remediation and environmental construction projects across Texas and surrounding regions. This role is ideal for someone with early field leadership experience who wants to grow within environmental consulting, remediation, and construction management.
This is a hands-on field role supporting remediation projects, environmental construction activities, subcontractor coordination, and field execution while working alongside Project Managers, Engineers, and Operations leadership.
Travel: Approximately 75% travel to active project sites with occasional travel to the Midland or Austin office as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Support environmental remediation and environmental construction projects in the field
- Assist with excavation oversight, erosion control, remediation system installation, soil handling, and site restoration
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and daily field activities
- Track project progress, field productivity, and site conditions
- Maintain field documentation, reporting, and environmental compliance records
- Participate in safety meetings, JSAs, and daily hazard assessments
- Work closely with Project Managers and senior field leadership to deliver projects safely and efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of environmental remediation, environmental construction, heavy civil, or environmental consulting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in active field environments and travel extensively
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Experience with excavation, remediation systems, or environmental field activities
- Experience working within environmental consulting or remediation services is a must.

- Familiarity with heavy equipment operations and site logisticsÂ
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role includes a combination of field work and limited administrative responsibilities. Work is performed on active remediation and construction sites, including industrial facilities and brownfield locations.
Typical activities include:
- Reviewing project plans and completing field reportsÂ
- Participating in safety and coordination meetingsÂ
- Navigating uneven terrain, excavation areas, and active job sitesÂ
- Climbing slopes, ladders, and equipmentÂ
- Standing for extended periods; bending, kneeling, crouching, and reachingÂ
- Lifting and carrying materials up to 40 poundsÂ
