ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Mold Remediation Worker with an active Texas TDLR registration. You will perform mold remediation and water-damage work under the supervision of a licensed Mold Remediation Contractor.

The ideal candidate can build containment, operate negative-air systems, execute remediation protocols, document work accurately, and help guide less-experienced technicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Perform remediation according to written mold remediation protocols and work plans 
  •  Build critical barriers, negative-air containment, and decontamination chambers 
  •  Remove, bag, clean, and dispose of mold-affected materials 
  •  HEPA-vacuum and wet-wipe structural surfaces 
  •  Apply approved antimicrobial products and encapsulants as directed 
  •  Operate air-filtration devices, HEPA vacuums, dehumidifiers, and air movers 
  •  Maintain containment integrity and required pressure differentials 
  •  Perform water extraction, structural drying, and light demolition when needed 
  •  Read and follow project protocols, scopes, drawings, and instructions 
  •  Complete daily notes, photographs, equipment logs, and time records 
  •  Follow TDLR rules, OSHA requirements, company procedures, and applicable IICRC standards 
  •  Inspect, clean, and maintain respirators, tools, vehicles, and equipment 
  •  Communicate field conditions and scope changes to the Project Manager 
  •  Help train entry-level technicians in safe work practices 
  •  Participate in an after-hours rotation for emergency water losses 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Active Texas TDLR Mold Remediation Worker Registration 
  •  At least 1–3 years of mold remediation, water restoration, or related abatement experience 
  •  Experience building containment and operating negative-air systems 
  •  Experience with HEPA vacuums, air-filtration devices, and drying equipment 
  •  Ability to follow written mold remediation protocols 
  •  Understanding of PPE, respiratory protection, and jobsite safety 
  •  Ability to use mobile apps for photographs and job documentation 
  •  Professional communication and customer-service skills 
  •  Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  IICRC AMRT or WRT certification 
  •  OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 
  •  Asbestos-abatement experience 
  •  Experience guiding technicians or field labor 
  •  Three or more years of restoration or remediation experience 
We pay for additional IICRC training, registration renewals, required medical evaluations, respirator fit testing, and approved continuing education.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  •  Lift and carry up to 75 lbs. 
  •  Kneel, crawl, squat, climb ladders, and work overhead 
  •  Work in attics, crawl spaces, confined areas, and varying temperatures 
  •  Wear respirators, protective suits, gloves, and other PPE for extended periods 
All required tools, equipment, and PPE are provided.
