Job DetailsJob Location: AUSTIN, TX 78746Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $23.00 - $30.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayFull Time- The hospital Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of hospital facilities and equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life‑safety equipment. Technicians respond to maintenance requests, complete work orders in a timely manner, and help maintain a clean, functional, and compliant environment that supports patient care. Hospital Maintenance Technicians also assist with inspections, equipment testing, and regulatory compliance tasks to meet healthcare standards. Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment are essential. Must be available to for on-call, weekends and possible holidays. QualificationsMust be available for on call (Weekends, Nights & Holidays)! Verifiable High school diploma or equivalent required Valid driver’s license  Experience- General experience in building/facility maintenance or related mechanical trades; preferably in a hospital setting.  Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or related systems.    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC equipment.         Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong troubleshooting, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment. Knowledge of safety precautions, infection control, and occupational hazard protocols specific to   healthcare environments.
