Job DetailsJob Location: Brush Country Nursing and Rehabilitation - Austin, TX 78749Job Shift: DayBrush Country Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Floor Technician to join our Housekeeping Personnel team. The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all facility floors and assisting with general housekeeping duties as needed. This position plays an important role in providing a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean, strip, wax, buff, and polish floors throughout the facility. Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively. Maintain carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, and spot cleaning. Perform routine floor maintenance according to established schedules. Remove scuff marks, stains, and debris from floors and surfaces. Assist with housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices as needed. Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables properly. Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Follow infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines. Report maintenance concerns, hazards, or equipment issues to supervisors. Assist with special cleaning projects and facility events as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Maintenance Director. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous floor care or housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or long-term care setting. Ability to operate floor maintenance equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and pushing equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
