Job DetailsJob Location: Legal Address - Austin, IN 47102Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $17.40 - $20.20 HourlyJob Shift: 2ndJob Category: Shipping - Material ServicesResponsibility The shipping associate will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and shipping finished goods and components to customers and coordinating inbound and outbound freight, including material flow within the facility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. Support (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility. Support the Corporate Governance Policy of Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive and the Objectives of:                           Meeting challenges of changed legal and business environment.                         Enhancing the trust of ATA among customers, associates, and society. Implementing activities to improve ATA business operations using a strategy of Steady Compliance.   Accountable to Shipping Team Leader, Shipping Coordinator, Shipping Assist. Mgr.                      Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred Forklift experience or certification is beneficial Basic computer skills (data entry, scanning systems) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Yard Dog experience or certification (depending on position)     Leadership Ensure personal safety by complying with all safety procedures. Model appropriate associate conduct and work ethic.   Service Prepare and package finished automotive parts for shipment Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment Verify quantities, labels, and shipping documentation for accuracy Stage materials and organizing shipments according to schedules Inspect outgoing shipments for damage or defects Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts Assist with yearly physical inventory accuracy Enter shipping data into computer systems (ERP/WMS) Coordinate with production and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines Follow all safety procedures and company policies Maintain a clean and organized shipping area Support ISO-9001 / ISO-14001 requirements Comply with all OSHA forklift regulations.     Operations Perform Daily forklift and or Yard Dog inspection. Transport products within facility in accordance with material flow. Load and unload all trucks for shipping and receiving purposes. Assist floor leadership regarding inventory levels amongst all ATA areas. Verify that incoming product to match PO to verify shipment. Verify correct products are shipped to customers. Receive inbound freight. Other duties assigned by the Shipping Team Leader, Shipping Coordinator, Shipping Asst Mgr.     Physical Requirements and Work Environment Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods (8-12hrs) Lift up to 75 lbs. regularly Perform repetitive movements (bending, reaching, lifting) Automotive manufacturing facility   Exposure to moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.  PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred Forklift experience or certification is beneficial Basic computer skills (data entry, scanning systems) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Yard Dog experience or certification (depending on position)
