Green Tanner Industrial Construction is preparing to expand into the Texas market and is seeking qualified electrical field talent for future industrial, commercial, mission-critical, and infrastructure-related projects. We perform complex work where safety, craftsmanship, productivity, and teamwork are essential.
This posting is intended to build a pipeline of electricians, electrical apprentices, helpers, and laborers who may be interested in future opportunities with GTI in Texas.
Possible Future Roles May Include
- Electrical Laborer
- Journeyman-Level Electrician
- Cable Puller
- Terminator
- Equipment Grounding/Bonding Support
- Electrical Service or Maintenance Technician
Typical Work May Include
Depending on the project and role, future work may involve:
- Assisting with installation of electrical systems on industrial, commercial, data center, utility, or infrastructure projects
- Installing conduit, cable tray, supports, raceways, boxes, panels, gear, and electrical equipment
- Pulling, routing, labeling, landing, and terminating wire or cable
- Supporting medium-voltage and low-voltage installations
- Assisting with grounding, bonding, testing, inspections, and documentation
- Reading basic drawings, one-lines, layout drawings, and work instructions
- Supporting layout, material handling, housekeeping, and workface planning
- Following lockout/tagout, energized work, PPE, and site safety requirements
- Working safely around heavy equipment, lifts, trenches, excavations, and active construction areas
Skills & Experience We Look For
Strong candidates may have experience with:
- Conduit bending and installation
- Cable pulling and terminations
- Electrical hand tools and power tools
- Cable tray, supports, hangers, and raceway systems
- Grounding and bonding
- Panelboards, switchgear, transformers, disconnects, and electrical equipment
- Low-voltage, medium-voltage, industrial, commercial, or data center electrical work
- Reading electrical drawings, plans, or one-line diagrams
- OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and basic construction safety practices
- Working in a crew environment with foremen, leads, and project supervision
General Requirements
- Previous electrical or construction experience preferred; entry-level candidates may be considered for laborer/helper roles
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, kneel, and work in outdoor or active construction environments
- Reliable transportation to assigned project locations
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted schedules when project needs require
- Ability to pass required pre-employment and site-specific requirements
- Valid driver’s license required for some roles
- OSHA10 minimum required for all on-site roles; OSHA30 required for field leadership roles
- NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid, lift certifications, or electrical apprenticeship experience are a plus
