About the job:

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will own the integrity and strategic planning of our entire product portfolio. You will operate at the intersection of program management, engineering strategy, and advanced analytics. You will orchestrate the planning architecture for our most complex product configurations, partnering with the executive team leads to drive logic based design schedules. Simultaneously, you will serve as the portfolio’s data analyst, using advanced milestone-to-milestone forensics to generate predictive insights. You will carry the mandate to enforce schedule governance, possessing the authority to reject green-shifted plans and ensure that organizational decisions are based on mathematical reality, not optimism.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end schedule strategy for New Product Introduction (NPI) and refinements. Define the logic strategy that integrates design and engineering across multi-variant product configurations.
  • Partner with executive team leads and engineering groups to translate high-level product roadmaps into executable, resource loaded schedules.
  • Establish the standard for how product variants are modeled in the schedule. Ensure that dependencies between common core components and unique configuration elements are mathematically sound.
  • Conduct analysis into the velocity between critical milestones. Identify systemic drag factors that are invisible at the surface level and quantify their impact on the bottom line.
  • Transform raw schedule data into high-level strategic narratives. Present these insights directly to leadership, highlighting risks that require immediate executive intervention.
