Grill Cook

Austin Country Club, founded in 1899 and renowned for its tradition of excellence, is seeking a full-time Grill Cook in Austin, TX. We offer a starting pay of $21 per hour and generous benefits. This includes:

THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR GRILL COOK

THE SCHEDULE:

As a PM Grill Cook, you will work full-time evening shifts, typically ranging from 7 to 8 hours. Flexibility is key, as you will be scheduled on weekdays, weekends, and holidays to support our vibrant, year-round operations.

YOUR ROLE:

As a Grill Cook, you will step into the kitchen ready to support your team and managers with premium culinary offerings. You will prepare and execute orders promptly and efficiently, ensuring each dish meets our high standards. Your day will involve setting up and breaking down your station, keeping all equipment, linens, and surfaces clean and in top working order. You will assist with event functions as needed, communicate closely with your manager to resolve any issues, and foster a positive, harmonious atmosphere among your teammates. You will stay vigilant about cleanliness, safety, and code compliance, while building your knowledge and interest in food and beverage. Throughout your shift, you will attend scheduled meetings or trainings, complete any additional tasks assigned by management, and genuinely enjoy the fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of grill station experience with steak cooking
• Experience working multiple stations in the kitchen, temping meat, and understanding grilling fundamentals
• Ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking tasks
• Organized and calm demeanor
• Strong communication skills with members and the team
• Genuine passion for delivering excellent food and service
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
• Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
