Flexible work arrangements are available for this position, including the ability to work remotely within the United States. We would strongly prefer a candidate located in the greater Austin area as this position is hybrid and requires up to one day per week in the office.

Purpose
The position will support the University’s Next Generation Network program which includes improving wireless coverage and support for end users across the campus. The individual hired for this position will act as the primary point of contact for scheduling, submitting updates, coordinating meetings among various campus groups, communicating with stakeholders, and documenting and supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage large task lists, prioritize work, and follow through on commitments; the ability to adapt to changing priorities and take initiative to support the project team where needed.
Responsibilities
Scheduling, Sequencing, & Execution Planning:
Develop and manage detailed project implementation schedules for campus-wide and College Schools and Units (CSU) that impact projects.
Coordinate timing around:
- Academic calendars and instructional priorities
- Research-critical windows
- Maintenance and access windows
Sequence work across multiple buildings and CSUs to avoid conflicts, overlaps, or unintended impact
Track dependencies between projects occurring in shared spaces or involving shared resources
Space & Access Coordination:
Scheduling physical space access across:
- Academic buildings
- Research facilities
- Administrative and shared campus spaces
Serve as the central point of coordination between:
- College Schools and Units
- IT Infrastructure and service teams
- Facilities, construction, and maintenance groups
Ensure space readiness (access approvals, timing alignment, occupancy constraints)
Project Management & Implementation Support:
Manage defined projects or project phases under the guidance of a senior PM
Track:
- Scope
- Milestones
- Deliverables
- Action items
Support execution by:
- Assigning and tracking tasks
- Monitoring progress
- Identifying risks and issues
Facilitate implementation activities such as migrations, upgrades, and campus changes
Ensure projects move from planning into successful delivery, not stall in coordination
Cross-CSU Coordination & Communication:
Act as a liaison between IT, Facilities, and non-IT campus groups to align schedules and execution plans
Track CSU-specific constraints, exceptions, and local approvals
Ensure communication reaches the correct CSU contacts and stakeholders
Documentation & Tracking:
Maintain schedules, coordination logs, dependency lists, and change records
Track execution status and surface schedule risks or conflicts early
Support audit, reporting, and institutional memory needs for long-term projects
Work with stakeholders to modify scheduling when conflicts arise
Perform other related functions as assigned. Â Â

Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen, resident, or officially recognized asylee - Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field of discipline
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage large task lists, prioritize work, and follow through on commitments
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take initiative to support the project team where needed
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified associate in project management (CAPM)Â
Salary Range
$65,000 + depending on qualifications

Work Shift
- Monday – Friday flexible between 7am-6pm, Occasional nights/weekends maybe required
