Your Impact at SAM

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Cybersecurity/IT Security Analyst to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with a foundational understanding of IT and cybersecurity principles to develop their skills and grow within the field. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our cybersecurity team and will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Follow and execute directives issued by cybersecurity management and senior team members.
• Support day-to-day activities performed by the cybersecurity team, including monitoring, analysis, and incident response.
• Collaborate with senior team members to learn basic first-line threat assessment and response tasks.
• Progress toward independence in handling threat assessments and responses after demonstrating competence.
• Read daily cybersecurity resources to stay current on security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.

What You Bring to SAM

• 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity/security operations environment.
• Demonstrated fundamental knowledge of IT principles and cybersecurity best practices.
• Basic understanding and hands-on capabilities with operating system configuration (Windows, Linux, macOS).
• Introductory knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and operations (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Basic exposure to one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) is preferred

Certifications and/or Licensing Requirements

• Desire to pursue industry related certifications: Security+, C|EH, GSEC, etc.
