Your Impact at SAM

The Junior Proposal Coordinator provides essential support to the entire Proposal Team by managing project closeout tasks, organizing proposal materials, and maintaining accurate project and personnel documentation. This role helps build and sustain the proposal library by collecting project descriptions, client references, graphics, and other key assets from teams across the region. The Junior Proposal Coordinator will assist with resume management, ensuring key staff resumes and onboarding materials remain current and properly formatted. Through strong organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow‑through, the Junior Proposal Coordinator helps streamline proposal development and strengthens the team’s ability to respond quickly and competitively to RFP/Qs.

  • Develop and coordinate proposals, brochures and statements of qualification, along with other marketing projects
  • Support all general marketing and client outreach efforts as required through organizing, generating and maintaining resumes, project profiles, presentations and other marketing collateral
  • Organize and coordinate proposal teams, clearly communicating and regulating roles, responsibilities, assignments and deadlines with team members
  • Collaborate with managers and the marketing team to ensure proposals are accurate, visually engaging and compelling
  • Oversee final production including formatting, reviewing and assembling documents
  • Recommend teaming firms and sub-consultants
  • Coordinate/update documents related to SAM’s ability to propose to market sectors and clients including, vendor registrations, state and municipal pre-qualifications and DOT credentials
  • Attend meetings and proposal debriefings, as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the Company’s strategic goals

What You Bring to SAM

  • Minimum of a four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • 0–2 years of experience in a professional setting; internship, academic project, or A/E/C industry experience is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrable organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines
  • Submission of writing samples (include URL on cover letter/resume) is strongly encouraged
