Hey there!

At Dish Society, we believe great food starts with great people—and strong standards.

We’re a chef-driven, farm-to-table concept serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch—all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Our style? Elevated, but approachable. Fast-paced, but intentional. We’re not just cooking food—we’re creating experiences our guests come back for.

We’re currently hiring Line Cooks (AM & PM) to join our Mueller team in Austin.

What You’ll Do

As a Line Cook, you’ll play a key role in bringing our menu to life. Our kitchen is fast-paced, scratch-based, and built on consistency, cleanliness, and high standards.

This is not a single-station role—you’ll be expected to learn and work across the kitchen.

You’ll:

  • Work across all stations (Dish, Prep, Salad/Sandwich, Grill/Fry, SautĂ©, Expo)
  • Prepare dishes like salads, sandwiches, salmon, omelets, pancakes, and more
  • Follow recipes and specs to ensure consistency and quality every time
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace (clean as you go is the standard)
  • Support your team to keep service running smoothly and efficiently
  • Uphold food quality, speed, and execution during high-volume service

Standards & Cross Training

At Dish Society, standards matter—and so does growth.

  • You will be cross-trained across multiple stations
  • You will not remain in just one position—flexibility is required
  • Each station has clear expectations and standards that must be met
  • As you master stations, your skillset and value within the team grow

Growth & Opportunity

We believe in developing our people and promoting from within.

  • Opportunity to learn every station in the kitchen
  • Ability to increase your value and earning potential as you grow
  • Pathways into leadership roles for those who show consistency and accountability

What We’re Looking For

We want people who take pride in their work and care about the details.

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Have previous kitchen experience
  • Can read recipes and follow systems
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Stay calm, focused, and organized under pressure
  • Work well on a team and communicate clearly
  • Take feedback well and actively work to improve
  • Are open to learning multiple stations and adapting where needed
  • Spanish-speaking is preferred for line communication

What Matters Here

At Dish Society, we hire based on more than just skill.

We look for people who live our core values:

  • Pride – You care about the food you put out
  • Hospitality – You support your team like you support guests
  • Growth – You’re always looking to get better
  • Connectedness – You show up for your team

Physical & Schedule Expectations

  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working with heat, equipment, and a fast-paced kitchen
  • Available to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Food Safety

  • Food Handler Certification required
  • Follow all safety and sanitation standards at all times
