THE OPPORTUNITY

The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports daily maintenance operations, ensuring all systems and equipment function efficiently. This roleĀ assistsĀ with repairs, preventativeĀ maintenance, and service requests while upholding safety and quality standards. Additionally, they help lead the maintenance team, oversee vendor work, and ensure apartment homes are move-in ready.Ā

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESāÆāÆĀ
- Complete resident work orders promptly, ensuring quality service and adherence to the 24- and 48- hourĀ guarantees whereĀ applicable.āÆĀ
- Perform maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.āÆĀ
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep equipment, tools, andĀ common areasĀ in top condition.āÆĀ
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in daily operations.āÆĀ
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features are in working order per our Total Quality Make Ready (TQMR) program as needed.āÆĀ
- Work independently while following company standards,Ā demonstratingĀ attention to detail, andĀ maintainingĀ a commitment to resident satisfaction.āÆĀ
- Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.āÆĀ
- Support the team with other duties as needed toĀ maintainĀ resident satisfaction and property standards.āÆāÆĀ
CANDIDATE PROFILEāÆāÆāÆāÆāÆāÆĀ
- Proven experience in multifamily property maintenance, facilities management, orĀ a relatedĀ field.āÆĀ
- HVAC certificationĀ required; CPO certification preferred.āÆĀ
- Strong leadership and communication skills.āÆĀ
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.āÆĀ
- Ability toĀ workĀ flexible schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation.āÆāÆĀ
- Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.):āÆĀ
- Over 75 lbs.Ā Ā Rare needāÆĀ
- 25 ā 75 lbs.Ā Ā Occasional needāÆĀ
- 1 ā 25 lbs.Ā Ā Constant needāÆĀ
