      Outbound Supervisor

Job Description 
Shop LC is currently hiring for an Outbound Supervisor. The Outbound Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the outbound department, ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient processing of customer orders through picking, packing, staging, and shipping functions. This position is responsible for leading a team of associates, maintaining productivity standards, and supporting a safe and positive work environment. The Outbound Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

JOB RESPONSABILITIES

  • Delivery of one-to-one (1:1) meetings and preparation and delivery of mid-year and year-end performance evaluations.
  • Supervise and direct outbound warehouse operations, including picking, packing, staging, and shipping activities.
  • Maintain department standards for productivity, accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and distribute daily workloads to outbound associates to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Monitor order flow and shipping priorities to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members on warehouse procedures, safety standards, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure accurate order fulfillment and compliance with company quality standards.
  • Monitor labor utilization and staffing needs to support business demands.
  • Partner with Inventory Control, Receiving, and other departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with shipping procedures and operational standards.
  • Perform required administrative tasks, including reporting, attendance tracking, and productivity monitoring.
  • Assist with troubleshooting warehouse systems, equipment, and process-related issues.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance outbound operations.
  • Perform as a cooperative team member in all aspects of warehouse operations.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties assigned by manager.

SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE

  • Three or more years of warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment experience, with at least one year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of outbound shipping operations, order fulfillment processes, and inventory control practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
  • Experience managing productivity, quality, and performance metrics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Personable, enthusiastic, ambitious, team-oriented, and able to lead by example.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
  • Moving self indifferent positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Remaining a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work area to another.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 40 pounds in all directions.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Operating warehouse equipment and/or power tools.
  • Working in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
