Job DetailsJob Location: Austin Fast Park - Del Valle, TX 78617Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $18.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: OvernightJob Category: FacilitiesParking Lot Security Guard for FAST PARK & RELAX Shift 9pm - 5am Thursday - Monday (overnight shift) Job Purpose: - To ensure the safety and security of the parking lot, vehicles within it, and the people utilizing the facility. This includes patrolling the area, enforcing parking regulations, assisting customers, and responding to any incidents or emergencies. Key Responsibilities: - Patrol the parking lot regularly to deter criminal activity and maintain a visible security presence. - Monitor and control access to the parking lot, ensuring only authorized vehicles and personnel enter. - Enforce parking regulations, including issuing warnings or citations for violations such as unauthorized parking, expired permits, or exceeding time limits. - Assist customers with finding parking spaces, providing directions, and offering assistance with jump starts or other minor vehicle issues. - Respond to incidents such as accidents, thefts, or disturbances, providing immediate assistance and contacting appropriate authorities when necessary. - Maintain accurate records of parking lot activity, including vehicle entries and exits, incidents, and any other relevant information. - Operate and monitor security equipment such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and intercoms. - Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. - Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. - Cooperate with law enforcement and other emergency responders as needed. - Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and security. - Complete any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong observation skills and attention to detail. - Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. - Ability to operate security equipment, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and two-way radios. - Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and email. - Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. - Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR preferred. - Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred. - Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and regulations. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. - Strong work ethic and commitment to providing a safe and secure environment.
