Your Mission in Action

The Performance Management Specialist partners with the Senior People Operations Manager to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Upbring’s performance management and progressive feedback processes. This role ensures consistent, timely, and compliant execution of employee evaluations, coaching practices, and corrective action processes across the organization. 

Responsibilities

  • Supports execution and tracking of 90-day, annual, and special evaluations in alignment with organizational standards 
  • In collaboration with the Senior People Operations Manager and the People Operations Managers, provides guidance to leaders on progressive feedback tools including coaching, counseling, and performance improvement plans (PIPs) 
  • Monitors compliance, documentation quality, and timelines while identifying opportunities to improve performance processes and tools 
  • Champion Upbring’s values and culture across the organization 
  • Consistently collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on People & Culture initiatives that uphold Upbring’s culture 
  • Advocate for the performance review process with managers, ensuring alignment of employee goals with organization mission and values 
  • Produce and cascade recurring performance management reports to organizational leaders, leveraging Excel, Copilot, HRIS and other technology solutions to promote awareness, improve compliance, and support the timely execution of performance evaluation processes 
  • Other duties and projects assigned as needed 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • One (1) year of human resources experience 
  • One (1 year of performance management or coaching and mentoring experience 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including clear and concise written and oral communication, and the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of the organization 
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities; meet deadlines while providing quality results and interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization 
  • Proactive and self-directed with the ability to manage/complete multiple projects with competing deadlines  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software, LMS and HRIS 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish Speaking/Writing 
  • Two (2) years of performance management experience 
  • SHRM, HRCI, or other relevant certification 
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and usage, individual and group assessment strategies, and action plan development 
  • Exposure to partnering with leaders in supporting employee relations matters, performance discussions, policy interpretation, corrective action processes, and employee coaching concerns
