Job Description:

About the Role:Ā 

We areĀ seekingĀ an experienced and highly driven professional to lead the end-to-end development, launch, scaling, and operationalization of innovative technology products that require significant software development and hardware integration. The Project Manager serves as the primary leader responsible for transforming business concepts into market-ready solutions, overseeing the entire product lifecycle from business case development and roadmap definition through design, development, deployment, and ongoing operations.

The successful candidate will combine strong project and program management capabilities with a deep understanding of software engineering practices, systems integration, and hardware-enabled solutions. They will effectively bridge business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, vendors, and operations organizations to ensure successful delivery of complex technology products.

Key responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Planning

  • Lead the translation of business opportunities into executable product development programs.

  • Define product vision, roadmap, businessĀ objectives, success metrics, and launch strategies.

  • Develop and manage business cases, investment plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.Ā 

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align product initiatives with strategic business goals.Ā 

Program & Project LeadershipĀ 

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of complex technology products from concept through commercialization.Ā 

  • Manage cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, hardware engineers, quality assurance, operations, and external vendors.Ā 

  • Establish andĀ maintainĀ project governance, risk management, reporting, and decision-making processes.Ā 

  • Monitor scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, and resourceĀ utilization.Ā 

Software Development ManagementĀ 

  • Possess a detailed understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, cybersecurity, and quality assurance practices.Ā 

  • Partner closely with development teams to evaluate technical solutions, development plans, architecture decisions, and release strategies.Ā 

  • Ensure product requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and successfully translated into technical deliverables.Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ and mitigate technical risks and delivery challenges.Ā 

Hardware & Systems IntegrationĀ 

  • Oversee integration of hardware, devices, sensors, IoT components, communications infrastructure, and third-party systems.Ā 

  • Coordinate validation, testing, interoperability, performance verification, andĀ deploymentĀ readiness activities.Ā 

  • Ensure seamless integration between physical infrastructure and software platforms.Ā 

  • Manage vendor relationships and technical integration partners.Ā 

Product Launch & ScalingĀ 

  • Develop and execute go-to-market and deployment strategies.Ā 

  • Lead pilot programs, customer acceptance testing, launch readiness reviews, and production deployments.Ā 

  • Define operational support models and transition products into sustainable operations.Ā 

  • Drive continuous improvement, product evolution, and scalability initiatives.Ā 

Stakeholder ManagementĀ 

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business leadership and technical teams.Ā 

  • Communicate program status, key decisions, risks, and mitigation plans to executive stakeholders.Ā 

  • Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities.Ā 

  • Facilitate strategic and technical decision-making processes.Ā 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, orĀ a relatedĀ field.Ā 

  • 5+ years of experience in product development, technology program management, or related leadership rolesĀ in the transportation industry.Ā 

  • Demonstrated success delivering complex products involving both software development and hardware integration.Ā 

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, system architecture, cloud platforms, integration patterns, and DevOps practices.Ā 

  • Experience leading cross-functionalĀ productĀ and engineering teams.Ā 

  • ProvenĀ track recordĀ managing large-scale programs with significant budgets and multiple stakeholders.Ā 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Ā 

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Master’s degree in engineering, Business, or Technology Management.Ā 

  • PMP,Ā PgMP, Scrum, Agile,Ā SAFe, or similar certifications.Ā 

  • Experience with IoT, intelligent transportation systems, tolling, mobility technologies, industrial systems, or connected infrastructure.Ā 

  • Experience managing third-party technology vendors and strategic partnerships.Ā 

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, data analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and cloud-based platforms.Ā 

  • Must be able to demonstrate high computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (specifically Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)

  • Skills in negotiating large contracts with regional implications

  • Good teamwork skills required

  • Active working attitude required

  • Capability to undertake projects with certain self-sufficiency

  • Capability to work against tight schedules

  • Must be able to proactively multitask, problem solve, and implement innovative processes within a fast-paced environment
