Quality Auditor – Second Shift

Department: Quality

 Onsite at 12621 Harris Branch Pkwy., Manor, TX 78653
 Shift: 2nd Shift (M-T, 6:00PM-4:30AM)

Quality Auditor

As a Quality Auditor, you will conduct inspections, audits, and analyses to ensure product and process quality standards are met. You will identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. Success in this role is measured through audit accuracy, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and contributions to quality and cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections, measurements, and data collection according to inspection sheets.
  • Conduct product, process, and layered audits using established checklists.
  • Collect and analyze measurement data to verify product conformity.
  • Validate and maintain gauges and measuring equipment.
  • Identify, document, and report quality concerns, defects, and non-conformances.
  • React to out-of-specification or out-of-control conditions by notifying Supervisors, Quality Engineers, and Quality Management.
  • Place non-conforming products on hold and transfer materials to quarantine areas when necessary.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Document and communicate supplier-related quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Monitor incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Verify outgoing products meet customer specifications and expectations.
  • Participate in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and PSO activities.
  • Support Internal Quality Performance and Customer Quality Performance KPIs.
  • Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, Customer Specific Requirements (CSR), and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Promote and maintain 5S standards throughout the facility.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and Rules of Conduct.
  • Contribute to a safe work environment and wear required PPE.
  • Support environmental, industrial safety, and energy management initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and projects related to the position as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 / OSSD).
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a Quality-related role.
  • Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including:
    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Excel experience is an asset.
  • CMM operation experience is an asset.
  • Datamyte experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, Customer Specific Requirements (CSR), and ISO 14001 standards.
