Job DetailsJob Location: ATX - Austin, TX 78758Position Type: Full TimeSeeking an Experienced Safety Manager (Bilingual) to Join Our Austin Team!   We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager who can evaluate the safety protocols followed on various locations, organize safety training for employees and report problems to management. The ideal candidate will have experience in the warehousing/distribution industry (particularly Transportation) and understand the specific safety issues inherent in distribution centers.  Experience in Transportation safety including procedures and process is required. The job includes field work, so reliable transportation and a flexible schedule are a must. The applicant should also be knowledgeable of food safety standards and requirements.   Responsibilities: Visit all warehouse locations to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment, materials, and food safety compliance. Evaluate, assess, and alter safety procedures and policies for the benefit of employees and corporation. Research and implement new safety training processes and programs as necessary to comply with OSHA and food safety regulations. Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available facts. Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees and vendors as needed. Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, Primus, DOT, etc.) Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance. Track incident metrics and apply findings on monthly reports. Lead injury and incident inquiries and evaluations.   Qualifications: Bilingual required Bachelor's degree preferred in environmental health and safety or a combination of training and experience. Knowledge of Lytx (DriveCam) a plus 5+ years' experience in the warehousing industry (preferably in produce) with multiple locations. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Primus food safety standards in general produce warehousing and distribution industry. Ability to train, influence and motivate team members at every level.
