Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol (Unarmed)  in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, and support employees and guests with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and assist with enforcing location rules for staff, guests, deliveries, and/or contractors.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, following post orders, and completing required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
