Cirrus Logic’s Mixed-Signal Product Division is seeking a passionate and experienced Audio Applications Engineer to support the launch of our cutting-edge automotive audio amplifier products. \n- Provide direct engineering support to customers to ensure the successful integration and optimization of Cirrus Logic’s advanced audio amplifier solutions.Â
- Support the design and review of customer's PCB schematics and layoutsÂ
- Conduct customer-application focused circuit analysis and data collectionÂ
- Travel to customer sites to support design-in and debug activitiesÂ
- Lead the design of the customer development boards for new audio productsÂ
- Develop product collateral such as application notes, reference designs and demos Â
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams during the product development. This includes working with IC Design engineers, Systems engineers, Validation engineers, Test Engineers, Software engineers, and othersÂ
- Support the Marketing and Sales teams during the product promotions and conferencesÂ
- Collaborate with the Systems team on the definition of new products and features Â
- Lead technical trainings for customer and field teamsÂ
- Autonomously handle and prioritize tasks with strong sense of ownership and high sense of urgencyÂ
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of Applications or Systems Engineering experience supporting audio productsÂ
- Experience with audio amplifiers and power electronicsÂ
- Proven experience debugging customer system level issuesÂ
- Strong hands-on experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, Audio Precision analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzersÂ
- Experience with PCB schematic and layout design, including component selectionÂ
- Demonstrated aptitude in understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, I2S or high speed control/data busÂ
- Familiarity with scripting/programming language such as Python or similarÂ
- Strong ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writingÂ
- Effective interpersonal skillsÂ
- Experience with automotive standards (e.g., AEC-Q100, ISO 11452, ISO 26262, ISO 7637, ISO 16750)Â
- Extensive experience debugging hardware and software issuesÂ
- Proficient in writing MATLAB and Python scriptsÂ
- Understand audio signal processing algorithms and techniquesÂ
- Experience with audio analysis software, MATLAB, and/or Excel mathematical analysisÂ
- Experience working with cross functional teams and customerÂ
- Passion for Audio technologyÂ
- Proven experience working in a fast paced environmentÂ
