The Role:

Entegris is currently seeking aĀ Senior Engineer, Facilities & UtilitiesĀ Ā to join ourĀ Manufacturing EngineeringĀ team. This position will be based in ourĀ Burnet, TXĀ facility.Ā 

Ā 

In this role, you willĀ oversee theĀ factory supportĀ systems such as DIW, N2, air, exhaust, chillers, and boilers toĀ maintain reliable and safe operations.Ā Ā You willĀ monitorĀ and troubleshootĀ the health of the utilities systemsĀ as well as scope and drive improvementsĀ to the factory includingĀ capital projectsĀ to expandĀ the systems.Ā 

Ā 

WhatĀ You’llĀ DoĀ 

  • Drive a ā€œSafety Firstā€ culture by performing equipment, process, and behavioral audits and recommending/implementing solutions to risksĀ 

  • OverseeĀ theĀ site utilitiesĀ systemsĀ (including but not limited to compressed air, nitrogen, argon, DIW, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, etc)Ā byĀ leadingĀ troubleshootingĀ efforts,Ā monitoringĀ trendĀ data, conductingĀ SPCĀ reviews,Ā andĀ identifyingĀ improvementsĀ 

  • Conduct safety reviews of the utility systems and provide input to HAZOP reviewsĀ Ā 

  • Lead medium sized capital projects to expandĀ factoryĀ capacityĀ Ā 

  • Perform facility modifications by utilizing theĀ management of change processĀ 

  • Analyze preventative and corrective maintenance trends to reduce unplanned downtimesĀ 

  • Assist the facility manager in development of short term and long term plans, conceptual designs, layout requirements andĀ documentation for the facilityĀ 

  • Communicate effectively across the organization (e.g.Ā Business Unit,Ā Operations,Ā AnalyticalĀ etc.) to drive a result.Ā Ā 

  • Assist in the management of contractors performing work at the site and ensure services and costs are reviewed and validatedĀ 

  • Create required documentation for new/modified equipment and processes including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and recipesĀ 

  • Update, standardize, and consolidate existing documentation of processes including clear and accurate work instructions and PIDs forĀ facility techniciansĀ 

WhatĀ WeĀ Seek:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similarĀ 

  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification a plus

  • 4+ years of experience in operations,Ā utilities,Ā project execution, and continuous improvement of equipment that supports chemical purification and/or packaging.Ā Ā 

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to drive cross-functional project execution and problem solving while maintaining positive/collaborative working relationshipsĀ 

  • Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, Control Logic Diagrams, Instrumentation Selection, and Valve and Line SizingĀ 

  • Experience with FMEA/PHA or other risk assessment toolsĀ 

  • Experience scoping and executing capital projects of small to moderate scaleĀ 

  • Ability to present technical data to all levels of the organizationĀ 

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and wear PPE as necessaryĀ 

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally in support of various engineering projects (<5%)Ā 

Desired QualificationsĀ 

  • Experience with SPC, ISO quality standards, management-of-change for product/process control, chemical compatibility studiesĀ 

  • Familiarity with handling hazardous materialsĀ Ā 

  • Experience with AutoCAD/Solidworks or similar a plusĀ 

  • Boiler, tank and utility system process design experienceĀ 

  • Tenacity to drive projects to completion to deliver world class performance in a timely mannerĀ 

  • Professionalism, integrity and high degree of accountabilityĀ 

  • Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels and functional groups within the organizationĀ
