Position Summary:
The Spa Supervisor is responsible for supervising all Spa personnel to ensure quality health and fitness services to members and guests. He/she is also responsible for scheduling all spa-related appointments, checking guests in and out, and assisting in all retail sales. This position is considered an entry- to mid-level leadership role, ideal for individuals stepping into a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

Core Responsibilities:
ï‚· Handle all administrative functions of the spa, including use of spa software, maintaining inventory of supplies, answering telephones, making appointments and answering questions.
ï‚· Be the initial and complete source of information regarding what is available at the spa and all procedures to ensure guest comfort (i.e. treatments, equipment, products and retail items).
ï‚· Monitor spa appointments and ensure proper staffing to maintain sense of order and efficiency.
ï‚· Ensure facility is prepared for proper opening and closing each day.
ï‚· Assist with billing for all Spa services and retail sales including preparing receipts.
ï‚· Resolve guest/resident problems and issues following proper conduct standards.
ï‚· Assist with inventories and cost controlling.
ï‚· Issue locker keys and print guest itineraries as necessary.
ï‚· Assist in monitoring and evaluating Spa reception employees.
ï‚· Train Spa employees as necessary.
ï‚· May be called upon to act as Spa MOD.
ï‚· At all times, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in dealing with guests, staff and managers.
ï‚· Keep work area clean of all clutter while maintaining professional appearance and standards.
ï‚· Participate in further learning activities up to and including product knowledge.
ï‚· Maintain up to date knowledge of hotel services, products and procedures.
ï‚· Focus on working in a safe manner and create a safe working environment at all times.
ï‚· Provide Spa tours as necessary.
ï‚· Provide CPR/First Aid as necessary.
ï‚· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
ï‚· Associate of Bachelor Degree required.
ï‚· 1 year experience in a spa or related field preferred.
ï‚· 1 year retail experience preferred.
ï‚· Ability to speak multiple languages desired.
ï‚· CPR certification preferred; ability to receive CPR certification required.
ï‚· High work ethic, self-initiative, independent judgment
ï‚· Proven customer service and problem solving experience
ï‚· Regular attendance
ï‚· May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
ï‚· Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times

 

Physical Requirements:
ï‚· Stand, sit and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time
ï‚· Bend, stoop, squat and stretch
ï‚· Lift approximately forty (40) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart, using safe lifting techniques
ï‚· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
ï‚· Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
ï‚· Know and be able to administer first aid
ï‚· Direct evacuations in an emergency
ï‚· Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, ten-key calculator, printers, multi-line tone tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers and other office equipment as needed
