Job Title: Server
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports To: Front of House Manager
Job Summary:
1972 Pub is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Servers to join our team! As a Server, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests, who are here to celebrate and support women's sports. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. We pride ourselves on our teamwork and are looking for someone who is excited to collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction in a fun, inclusive, and team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor and provide excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Anticipate guests' needs, monitor their tables, and respond promptly to any requests.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer questions about menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient and accurate order delivery.
- Work closely with other team members to set up tables, clear dishes, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by being a reliable, respectful, and proactive team player.
- Assist with bussing and cleaning tables as needed.
- Learn and maintain an understanding of women鈥檚 sports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Passion for women's sports.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
- TABC certification required.
- Food Handler certification required.
- Team Player: Must be a reliable, respectful, and proactive team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate with others.
- Communication: The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members.
- Adaptability: The ability to be flexible in the tasks assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Server in a high-volume restaurant.
- Experience in a sports bar or similar environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
