Acutronic is looking for a Test Engineer I to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for product testing, validation/qualification, assembly, supply chain, inventory and quality management. Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience in test engineering, operations or manufacturing.

Test Engineer I

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain test procedures for Acutronic’s Actuation & Acutronic Turbines product lines
  • Execute testing and validation/qualification of products per the defined procedures
  • Record and document data and results of all testing performed
  • Lead and define the testing schedule to support business needs
  • Collaborate with applicable engineers to define acceptance criteria and limits
  • Support the planning and implementation of an AS9100 quality management system
  • Create and maintain appropriate documentation including, but not limited to: traceability materials/certifications, workflows, and quality records
  • Monitor production controls and measures for existing and new products
  • Define and maintain assembly processes for all product lines
  • Improve and streamline existing assembly processes
  • Create processes related to RMAs, non-conformances, and calibration management
  • Lead and/or participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of quality events; support process owners in the planning and implementation of corrective measures
  • Develop relevant procedures and instructions to support QC methods, changes or formalized decisions
  • Design and implement sampling procedures and related instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data
  • Lead and/or support negotiations with customers concerning quality demand fulfillment(s); and/or resolution of quality deficiencies including preparing external customer documentation

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university required
  • Minimum one year of experience in test engineering, operations, or manufacturing required
  • Minimum one year of experience in the assembly and testing of complex electro-mechanical assemblies in a production or prototype environment in the aerospace, defense, or engineering fields required
  • Prior experience working in an aerospace quality control (AS9100) and manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Experience with turbine engines preferred
  • Prior experience with project management and documentation practices preferred
  • Proficient level of working mechanical/electrical knowledge
  • A combination of skills and experience may be considered
