Job Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional service to guests. This role ensures a clean, organized bar area and complies with all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and take drink orders efficiently.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tools, and glassware.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service in compliance with laws and company policy.
- Manage cash, process payments, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
- Check IDs to verify legal drinking age.
- Restock bar inventory, garnishes, and supplies throughout the shift.
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and inventory tasks.
- Work collaboratively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior bartending experience preferred, especially in a fast-paced environment.
- State-required alcohol certification or permit (if applicable).
Key Competencies
- Strong mixology skills and knowledge of drink recipes.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to handle pressure and multitask in busy settings.
- Basic math and cash-handling accuracy.
- Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented.
