Performs entry-level administrative support work. Work involves performing a wide range of administrative and office support work for the Digital Roadway Data Program. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.

Essential Duties:

  • Answers emails, serves as assistant to Digital Roadway Data Program.

  • Assists with planning and coordinating program meetings to include meeting appointments, agendas, slide decks, and meeting summaries.

  • Assists with writing standard operating procedures, website content, presentation materials, LinkedIn posts in accordance with accessibility standards.



Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 

High School / Entry Summer in recommended high school plan

Other Conditions:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.

  • Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.

 

Work Experience: None Required

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Students in the following fields of study preferred: Library Science, Information Management, Public Administration, Government, Public Affairs, Communications, or a related field.

Competencies: 

Some skill in:

  • Research and analysis methodologies

  • Maintaining effective working relationships with others

  • Collecting, sorting and compiling data

  • Administrative support practices and procedures to include writing, editing and report writing techniques, recording meeting notes, record keeping and records management

  • Using computers, applicable programs, applications, and systems

Ability to:

  • Follow verbal and written instructions

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools

  • Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs

  • Sitting - prolonged periods of time

  • Standing-prolonged periods of time

  • Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

  • Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading
