MAIN DUTIES:Â

The Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional massage and body treatments in a safe, professional, and personalized manner. This role focuses on creating a restorative, luxury spa experience by assessing individual guest needs, executing treatments with skill and care, and maintaining the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and confidentiality. The Massage Therapist serves as an ambassador of the spa and brand, ensuring every guest interaction reflects warmth, expertise, and attention to detail.Â

GENERAL DUTIES:Â
Â
Perform massage and body treatments according to established treatment protocols and guest preferencesÂ
Greet guests warmly with a professional salutation, ensuring a welcoming and calming experienceÂ
Conduct guest consultations to assess physical well-being, preferences, and contraindications prior to treatmentÂ
Customize treatments as appropriate to meet individual guest needs while adhering to treatment guidelinesÂ
Explain treatment services, techniques, and benefits clearly and professionallyÂ
Educate guests on recommended home-care products and spa services; actively support retail sales initiativesÂ
Maintain accurate and complete guest treatment records while ensuring strict confidentiality of all personal and medical informationÂ
Uphold all sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards for treatment rooms, tools, and equipmentÂ
Maintain a clean, organized, and serene treatment environment and shared spa facilitiesÂ
Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, product knowledge sessions, and team initiativesÂ
Be knowledgeable of all spa services, amenities, and resort offerings to confidently answer guest inquiriesÂ
Conduct spa facility tours for guests as requestedÂ
Report any guest concerns, treatment issues, injuries, or equipment malfunctions immediately to leadershipÂ
Arrive for scheduled shifts on time, prepared, and in professional presentationÂ
Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periodsÂ
Maintain a positive, guest-focused attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environmentÂ
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materialsÂ
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleaguesÂ
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionalÂ
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary informationÂ

Perform other reasonable duties as assigned to support spa operationsÂ

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Â

High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
Current, valid state massage therapy license in good standing (state-specific licensing required)Â
Massage Therapist certified required
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing massage and body treatments in a luxury spa or resort environment preferredÂ
Strong knowledge of massage modalities, body treatments, and contraindicationsÂ
Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skillsÂ
Professional, polished appearance and demeanorÂ
Ability to educate guests and confidently recommend spa products and servicesÂ
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and guest comfortÂ
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environmentÂ
Basic computer proficiency; experience with spa booking systems preferredÂ
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions; capable of lifting and carrying supplies as neededÂ
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysÂ
