Category Buyer Sr

LCRA is looking for a Category Buyer Sr. to join our Construction Delivery Team in Supply Chain. As a part of the Construction Delivery Team, you will collaborate with partners across the organization to manage sourcing needs for construction-related categories. Our ideal candidate is someone with experience in services procurement and with knowledge of construction, engineering, or environmental services. • Develop supplier relationships in performance of day-to-day business transactions to ensure performance of contracts and purchase order requirements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key collaborators.
• Provide procurement expertise, analysis, and training to internal and external collaborators when needed.
• Conduct informal and formal solicitation processes as necessary.
• Identify and define sourcing options based on LCRA's strategic sourcing process.

• Five or more years of experience in procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management or other relevant experience.

• Significant background in services purchasing.
• Understanding of construction, engineering, or environmental services.
• Proven ability to successfully implement procurement strategies.
• Strong analytical skills to determine the best sourcing options strictly based on strategic needs.
