MAIN DUTIES:Ā

The Massage TherapistĀ is responsible forĀ delivering exceptional massage and body treatments in a safe, professional, and personalized manner. This role focuses on creating a restorative, luxury spa experience by assessing individual guest needs, executing treatments with skill and care, andĀ maintainingĀ the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and confidentiality. The Massage Therapist serves as an ambassador of the spa and brand, ensuring every guest interaction reflects warmth,Ā expertise, and attention to detail.Ā

GENERAL DUTIES:Ā
Ā
Perform massage and body treatments according to established treatment protocols and guest preferencesĀ
Greet guests warmly with a professional salutation, ensuring a welcoming and calming experienceĀ
Conduct guest consultations to assess physical well-being, preferences, and contraindications prior to treatmentĀ
Customize treatments asĀ appropriate toĀ meet individual guest needs while adhering to treatment guidelinesĀ
Explain treatment services, techniques, and benefits clearly and professionallyĀ
Educate guests on recommended home-care products and spa services; actively support retail sales initiativesĀ
MaintainĀ accurateĀ and complete guest treatment records while ensuring strict confidentiality of all personal and medical informationĀ
Uphold all sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards for treatment rooms, tools, and equipmentĀ
Maintain a clean, organized, and serene treatment environment and shared spa facilitiesĀ
Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, product knowledge sessions, and team initiativesĀ
Be knowledgeable of all spa services, amenities, and resort offerings to confidently answer guest inquiriesĀ
Conduct spa facility tours for guests as requestedĀ
Report any guest concerns, treatment issues, injuries, or equipment malfunctionsĀ immediatelyĀ to leadershipĀ
Arrive for scheduled shifts on time, prepared, and in professional presentationĀ
Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periodsĀ
Maintain a positive, guest-focused attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environmentĀ
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications;Ā properly storeĀ flammable materialsĀ
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleaguesĀ
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionalĀ
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary informationĀ

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Ā

High school diploma or equivalent requiredĀ
Current, valid state massage therapy license in good standing (state-specific licensingĀ required)Ā
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing massage and body treatments in a luxury spa or resort environment preferredĀ
Massage therapist Certificate
Strong knowledge of massage modalities, body treatments, and contraindicationsĀ
Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skillsĀ
Professional, polished appearance and demeanorĀ
Ability to educate guests and confidently recommend spa products and servicesĀ
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and guest comfortĀ
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environmentĀ
Basic computerĀ proficiency;Ā experience with spa booking systems preferredĀ
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions; capable of lifting and carrying supplies as neededĀ
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysĀ
