Position Summary
On Demand is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians for assignment at a client-operated worksite in Houston, Texas. The EMT will provide prompt emergency medical care, basic life support, and safe patient transportation in accordance with applicable laws, medical protocols, and worksite procedures.
Work Schedule: Full-time positions available on all shifts, days and weekends.
Essential Duties
- Respond promptly and safely to emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Assess patients and determine the nature and severity of illnesses or injuries.
- Provide basic life support, CPR, first aid, oxygen therapy, bleeding control, splinting, and other authorized treatments.
- Operate automated external defibrillators and other emergency medical equipment.
- Safely lift, move, position, and transport patients.
- Monitor patients and communicate changes in their condition.
- Assist paramedics and other advanced medical personnel as directed.
- Communicate patient information clearly to receiving healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate and timely patient-care reports and required worksite documentation.
- Inspect, clean, disinfect, restock, and maintain assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Follow clinical protocols, safety requirements, privacy standards, infection-control procedures, and client-site policies.
- Maintain professional and compassionate communication with patients, families, coworkers, and partner agencies.
- Immediately report workplace incidents, injuries, scheduling concerns, and employment-related matters to [Your Company Name].
- Perform other duties consistent with the EMT role and assignment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of required Texas and FBI background checks, in accordance with applicable law.
- Current EMT certification valid in Texas.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in confined or challenging environments.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull patients and equipment, with assistance when appropriate.
