The ideal candidate will be polished, detail-oriented, and able to create a memorable experience for every guest, from start to finish.   Benefits: Competitive Pay Employee Discount on Meals Flexible Scheduling Opportunities for Growth and Advancement 401(k) with matching up to 4% Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off & Paid Sick Time Referral Program Life, Accident, Critical Illness, & Pet Insurance Career Development within the Max Hospitality Group Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests with enthusiasm and professionalism, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued throughout their dining experience Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar Ensure all orders are delivered to guests according to Max a Mia’s high standards for presentation, taste, and temperature Handle special requests, allergies, and dietary restrictions with care, ensuring communication with the kitchen is clear Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and wine pairings, as well as daily specials Maintain a clean, organized dining area and assist with resetting tables for new guests Work collaboratively with other servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for all guests Ensure the restaurant is in top condition by following cleaning and maintenance standards, including resetting tables, checking supplies, and keeping the dining room spotless Handle any guest concerns or issues with professionalism, grace, and a solutions-oriented approach Follow recipes and portion guidelines for all drinks and cocktails Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For Experience: At least 1-2 years of recent experience as a server in a fine dining or upscale-casual restaurant is REQUIRED Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant is REQUIRED Strong knowledge of Italian wines, spirits, and classic cocktails is a plus Previous experience in an Italian or Mediterranean-inspired restaurant is a plus Proven knowledge of wine, cocktails, and the ability to make recommendations that enhance the guest experience Experience with fine-dining service standards, including handling special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies Familiarity with POS systems and order processing is preferred Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment, ensuring smooth service while maintaining exceptional quality Skills & Qualities: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure seamless interactions with guests and kitchen staff A polished, friendly, and engaging personality with a passion for providing outstanding service Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive and approachable demeanor Attention to detail in all aspects of service, including order accuracy, food presentation, and timing Ability to confidently recommend food and beverage pairings and respond knowledgeably to guest inquiries Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays throughout shifts, as well as the ability to work well during peak hours Strong teamwork mentality and a commitment to contributing to a positive work environment   Diversity Creates a Healthy Atmosphere: Max Hospitality is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
