Job DetailsJob Location: Columbia Gear - Avon, MN 56310Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $21.96 - $27.52 HourlyJob Shift: 5th Shift (Weekend Nights)Summary Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Deburr Technician position is reserved for those individuals who exhibit extraordinary skills and knowledge required to complete complicated tasks in the plant or department. The Deburr Technician is routinely assigned to set up and operate manual and powered hand tools to remove metal burrs and rust from raw materials and machined parts. Shall be required to operate multiple machines as assigned.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Read and interpret blueprint and process sheets. Possess good manual dexterity capabilities. Sets up and operate all machines in the department. Locate alternate gauges as needed. Work with little or no supervision of assigned work. Train others to deburr correctly. Other duties may be assigned.   Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Minimum of High School Education.  Language Skills - Ability to read and understand documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write standard documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
