Vail Health-Colorado Mountain Medical is seeking a board-certified dermatologist to join our team in beautiful Avon, Colorado.                                                                                                                 Â
The ideal candidate should have experience in general dermatology, with an interest in championing service line growth. Â
- Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.Â
- Prescribes or administers pharmaceuticals, other medications, immunizations, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.Â
- Provides health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.Â
- Monitors patients' conditions and progress, re-evaluating treatments, and explains procedures and test results or prescribed treatments with patients.Â
- Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.Â
- May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function.Â
- Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.Â
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.Â
- As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.Â
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Â

- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.Â
- Board certification or eligibility in dermatology and/or dermatopathologyÂ
- Medical doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty.Â
- Federal DEA Certification: Medical Specialty License or Certification, Board Certified or Board eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
- Medical Doctor or Doctor in Osteopathic Medicine
